Topic: Cryptocurrencies effect on developing countries
I hypothesize that the adoption of cryptocurrencies in developing countries is positively impacting
economic conditions, financial inclusion, socioeconomic development, etc. Create a minimum of three
unique charts and graphs to prove this hypothesis. Break the paper into sections called Introduction,
Literature Review, Data and Methods, Results, and Conclusion. The paper must include a literature
review, a hypothesis, a data set to test the hypothesis, a statistical test of the hypothesis, and a correct
interpretation of the statistical test.
An important note on the literature review: A literature review establishes where your research fits into
the body of existing research. You should think of your research as incrementally moving our shared
knowledge forward. If you have a hypothesis that is related to, for example, the effectiveness of Bitcoin
as a hedge against inflation, then you need to cite other published research on the topic. This could be
on Bitcoin or research on other assets used as a hedge (e.g. gold).
Any hypothesis you come up with will have related research. If it doesn’t your paper would likely be
rejected from any journal for not contributing to the literature.
The length should be a minimum of eight good pages or twenty-three hundred words minimum.
General guidelines on literature reviews:
You should cite peer-reviewed articles from reputable journals in finance, accounting, and economics. To
see examples of such journals simply search ‘list of finance academic journals’ on Google.
I recommend using Google Scholar to find related research. If your example you could search ‘Bitcoin
inflation hedge’ on Google Scholar. The first result is a Finance Research Letters article you should cite.
You can then click the Related Research and Cited by … links to find other articles.
You should cite at least 16 peer-reviewed articles. The citation should have a summary of the results of
the paper. I mean, mention the results of that specific research and cite it.
You can cite a Wall Street Journal article for background, however this does not count as a peer-reviewed
article.
Do not cite random internet sites such as investopedia or blogs. Lets focus on journals not older than 10
years from now.
