Assume you have the opportunity to travel to China during the summer as part of a global business
project at IUPUI. The goal of the trip is to visit businesses there, to learn more about the differences
between American and Chinese businesses, and to make international contacts.
To help pay for the trip, each student must request donations from local organizations.
You decide to request a donation from Terry Dinsmore. Terry graduated from IUPUI and is the
president of a shoe manufacturing company, whose products are manufactured in China.
Using the details from the scenario, you have two tasks to complete this assignment.
1. Work as a team to answer each question below. Only one person should submit answers on
behalf of the team.

What reasons or benefits can you offer Terry to support your request for a donation?

2. Individually, write a message to Terry Dinsmore that does not exceed 250 words. Each team
member should submit his or her own message. Use appropriate formatting based on the
medium your team chose.
