Read the attached section from Complexity Theory and the Social Sciences (Byrne 1998). Do not worry about understanding every sentence. Instead, only try to understand the main idea of each paragraph.

• Look at the main ideas from each paragraph. Write a single sentence that summarizes each of these ideas. This is the thesis.
