As the communications assistant, your responsibilities include preparing and responding to
routine email, such as requests for information, claims, and adjustments. You will also write
reports and other correspondence. You’ll communicate internally with the owner and staff
members, and externally with clients, suppliers, and various contractors and organizations.
Information about Wheelz:
▪ Rents e-bikes from the storefront on Marginal Road (near Pier 21)
▪ Is a single owner-operated business, not part of a chain
▪ Operates seasonally from April 30-November 1
▪ Has two full-time and eight part-time employees
▪ Has been operating since 2019
Wheelz rental services:
▪ Rents hybrid e-bikes suitable for on-road, trail, distance with a fully charged range of
125 km; standard equipment includes bell, kickstand, bottle holder, back rack, and
headlight
▪ Provides helmet, lock, and tube replacement kit with all rentals
▪ Offers additional services including interactive trip planning (short local routes via GPS
maps) and multi-day itineraries; also leads guided local tours on request
▪ Scales pricing from two-hour to three-day rentals
▪ Charges a deposit for all bike rentals
▪ Accepts reservations and payments online or in person at storefront
▪ Does not currently provide comprehensive maintenance for its e-bikes (direct to/from
manufacturer)
