Introduction
I have decided to conduct a corporate research project with a Porsche concentration for
my capstone project. Porsche is a great example of a case study in the automotive sector because
of its reputation for producing luxury sedans, SUVs, and high-performance sports vehicles.
Investigating the company’s commercial plans, market positioning, financial stability, innovation,
and overall influence on the automotive industry are the main objectives of this research
(Milheiro et al.,2024). I want to gain knowledge of how Porsche has remained competitive and a
respected brand over the years by doing this research.
Justification for Choosing a Company Research Project
For several reasons, I opted for a company research project rather than a business
strategy. First, studying a well-known company like Porsche in-depth provides an opportunity to
examine and absorb practical business processes. A firm research study, as opposed to a fictitious
business plan, enables the analysis of concrete facts, historical trends, and tactical choices that
have aided in the company’s success. My academic interests and professional goals in business
analysis and consultancy are ideally suited for this strategy (Hickman & Silva, 2018).
A firm research project also offers a strong foundation for refining analytical and critical
thinking abilities. My ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations is enhanced
by my investigation of Porsche’s operations, market strategies, and financial performance.
Making strategic judgments and comprehending the intricacies of managing a worldwide
company require this practical experience. The knowledge I will get from this project will be
very helpful in the future when I assess and counsel firms.
Reasons for Choosing Porsche
3
There are a few reasons why I decided to focus my research effort on Porsches. Porsche
is an intriguing business with a long history of technological innovation, brand reputation, and
quality. Porsche, a market leader in the premium and sports car segments, is known for
continuously pushing the limits of automotive performance and design. Because of this, it’s a
perfect case study to learn how a business may continue to innovate while preserving a strong
sense of identity.
Moreover, Porsche’s aptitude for navigating the quickly changing automotive scene is
very fascinating. Porsche’s growth and adaptation methods offer useful insights into a sector that
is undergoing tremendous upheavals due to technical advancements, environmental laws, and
altering consumer tastes (Hickman & Silva, 2018). Examining Porsche’s adoption of
digitalization, electric mobility, and sustainability practices might help us understand how
established automakers can change to meet contemporary issues.
Porsche’s commercial reach and worldwide influence are additional strong arguments in
favor of the brand. Porsche is a brand with a devoted following across the globe, so it makes
sense to examine its marketing plans and methods for interacting with customers. Gaining an
understanding of how Porsche creates and preserves brand loyalty through marketing, customer
service, and after-sales care will give you a comprehensive understanding of efficient brand
management. Porsche’s participation in motorsports and its effect on brand prestige and
technological innovations also provide a unique viewpoint on the mutually beneficial interaction
between competitive sports and business success. Porsche’s multifaceted business approach
offers it a great model to learn all-encompassing business methods.
Objectives and Learning Outcomes
4
Several important learning objectives are what I intend to accomplish with this study
effort. First, I want to fully comprehend Porsche’s corporate strategy and strategic goals.
Analyzing the company’s product line, competitive positioning, and market segmentation are all
part of this. I will be able to determine the elements that have led to Porsche’s success and how
other companies might use them by looking at these elements.
In addition, I’m interested in researching Porsche’s managerial style and financial results.
Analyzing the company’s income sources, cost structures, profitability, and financial statements
are all part of this. I will gain a thorough understanding of Porsche’s financial condition and
resource management strategies in order to accomplish long-term growth by doing this (Wolf,
2020).
Finally, I want to look into how Porsche has affected both the auto business and society at
large. Examining the business’s CSR programs, environmental sustainability activities, and
contributions to automobile safety and innovation are some examples of this. Gaining insight
into these aspects will demonstrate how a top automaker influences industry norms and advances
social welfare.
Conclusion
My capstone project on Porsche will offer a thorough examination of one of the most
recognizable and significant businesses in the automotive sector (Milheiro et al.,2024). By
researching Porsche’s business tactics, innovation, financial results, and social effects, I hope to
acquire important knowledge that will improve my comprehension of the business sector. This
project will benefit my academic and professional growth in addition to offering a thorough case
study that can guide future business tactics.

The examples above are provided as a guide. You may change the order of the body of your paper to
ensure that your paper flows and makes sense to the reader. The outline should be no more than 2
pages and should be in a formal outline format (i.e. Roman Numerals). Elaborate on each of the
above sections with additional information specific to your project. For example, financial
statements may include balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows (and then
add more detail to each of those areas).
An MBA concentration section should be included regardless of your project form and should
contain specific information related to your concentration area. If you did not complete a
concentration, select another area of interest that you covered in one of your courses. The final
paper must meet the length guidelines whether or not you completed a concentration.
All references, citations, tables, figures, and appendices should adhere to APA guidelines as detailed
in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (Sixth edition). While the
topic of project management is not specifically included in this research project, you will
demonstrate your ability to manage a project by staying on track with the project and meeting all
project deadlines.
An executive summary will also be submitted with the final project in Unit 7. The executive
summary (also called an abstract in academic papers) is a one to two page summary that contains
all of the critical information from the report. Refer to the following website for more information
on executive summaries and abstracts:
